The Ernest Mancoba Educational Poster Project (EMEPP)

Ernest Mancoba Education Poster Project (EMEPP) brought posters of key works and texts from the exhibition: In the name of all Humanity, the African Spiritual expression of Ernest Mancoba, to an audience of teachers, artists and students at community art centres. This happened during school holidays and weekends in 9 provinces over 2010 -2011.

These posters were provided in an interactive educational process in a series of workshops at art centres in peri-urban and rural areas in the following places: Gugulective in Gugulethu, A community arts group at Die Eiland in Upington, Mmabana Centre in Thabanchu, Fort Hare University, Alice, Willowvale Community art centre, Red Location museum, Port Elizabeth, Lwandle Migrant Museum in the Strand, Battswood Art Centre, Grassy Park, Cape Town, Williams Humphrey’s Gallery Kimberley, Mmabana Centre Mafikeng, Funda Centre Soweto, a group of Arts & Culture teachers from Wits Education Department at Keleketla Library in the Drill Hall, Johannesburg, Polokwane Art Museum, Thohoyandou art centre, Vumabesala School in Gemsbokspruit, Mpumulanga and finally Durban Art Gallery.
